We’re definitely in the quiet end of the gaming season. The AAA titles are done. The notable indies have all come and gone. Most people are checked out for Christmas. And yet, as is the case every year, there’s still a last little tranche of games trickling out before the public holidays.
Standouts this week: a twin-stick action strategy game, a VR simulator about being a pizza chef, Firewatch on the Switch, a pixel-art bunker survival sim, a rhythm racing game featuring an engineer who becomes a daemon, and Donut County goes portable (again). Here’s This Week In Games.

Note: BallisticNG launched on the weekend, and wasn’t included last week so I’ve popped it at the top here in case people missed it.
Right. Let’s begin with the trailers, starting with the rhythm racer Sequence Storm.
Great time to play Firewatch if you haven’t already. Beyond that, however, it’s slim pickings this week. BallisticNG is really worth a shot, though.
See anything you like this week, working off your backlog, or are you focusing on your holiday plans moving forward?
