Lots of Titanfall fans were disappointed this week when a rumoured sequel wasn't announced. But if you were one of the people curling up inside your giant killer robot to sulk Monday night after EA's press conference, at least you can console yourself with the knowledge that there'll be two more ways to have Transformers-style battles on your Xbox later this year.

The next big Assassin's Creed game and the first to appear exclusively on next-generation consoles won't let people play as female assassins in a new cooperative multiplayer mode, Ubisoft said this week at E3. Speaking in an interview with Polygon, Unity creative director Alex Amancio said that while they originally planned to include female assassins, the "reality of production" made adding the additional characters too costly.

Nintendo just dropped a wonderful surprise during its E3 address for all the Super Mario 3D World fans out there. The Toad levels from that amazing 2013 platformer are being turned into a full-blown game of their own. It's called Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker, and it's coming out this holiday season.

Nintendo is reviving one of the quirkier titles in its already quirky Kirby franchise for the Wii U, the company just announced during its E3 Nintendo Direct address. The new game is called Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, and it's a sequel to the cult favourite Kirby: Canvas Curse.

The post-apocalypse is about to get a whole lot prettier, folks. Sony has finally given the remaster PS4 version of The Last of Us a firm release date, and it's July 30 in Australia and New Zealand. So get your DualShock 4 and a box of tissues ready, because I'm sure that this game will be even more emotionally disturbing with all those revamped visuals.

The Sims 4 is finally arriving on September 2, EA announced during its E3 2014 press conference. It looks like it's going to be an emotional experience -- one so intense that your sims could literally die of laughter.

Well, I didn't see this one coming. Ubisoft just announced that Rainbow Six is officially coming back from the dead with a new game called Rainbow Six: Siege. Here's the debut trailer.
