Last week, Sony announced that the Vita, along with PS3, will stop getting monthly games through the PlayStation Plus subscription service in March 2019. In the wake of that news, it's worth remembering: Vita owners never had an easy go of things, but it would have been a whole lot worse without PlayStation Plus.
There are some good games in January's PlayStation Plus lineup. In addition to some solid PS4 games with Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Telltale's Batman, the PS3 gets The Book of Unwritten Tales 2, and the Vita gets Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness. As always, these games are only "free" if you have an active PlayStation Plus subscription.
I managed to miss Bound when it came out last year, so I'm excited to see it make its way to November's PlayStation Plus lineup. As always, the following games are only "free" if you have an active PlayStation Plus membership.
Infamous: Second Son has always looked pretty cool but I never got around to it, so I'm really excited it's in this month's PS Plus lineup. There's also some extras in this month's lineup, including a free PSVR game. As usual, these games are only free if you have an active PlayStation Plus account.
I'm excited to see Just Cause 3 on August's PS Plus lineup, since I always meant to check it out. There's also Downwell for the Vita with crossbuy on PS4, bringing my total ways to play Downwell to three, which is not nearly enough.
