Our Pick Of Today’s Steam Sales

Another day, another group of sales. Like many of you, we’ve been through these sales so many times we already have a lot of the games that appeal to us. Whether we’ve found time to play them all is a different story. But this is the place to tell your fellow Kotakuers which ones can’t be missed.

As a side note, it’s quite amazing that DayZ has been at the top of the best seller list throughout this entire round of sales, and at $29.99 USD, it hasn’t even been on sale. Just another reminder of how much of a phenomenon it is. Anyway, onto our picks!

If you dug Amnesia: The Dark Descent (currently going for $3.99 USD), it’s sequel is on sale today after being released not too long ago. Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs is slightly lighter on the horror than its predecessor, slightly heavier on the story and polish, and is going for $9.99 USD.

Trine 2 is a fun little co-op adventure in fantasy and physics. It has a fairytale atmosphere and ease of combat which make it a good one to play with those in your life who may only have one foot in the gaming world. It’s going for $1.99 USD.

Castle Crashers needs no introduction. It’s one of the best-selling games of all time. But if you’re one of the few who haven’t bought it yet, you can get its cartoonish, humorous co-op brawling action on your PC for the odd price of $3.74 USD.

That’s about it for us and the daily deals. As for the flash sales, Brutal Legend is a steal for $1.99 USD, and some would argue it’s worth it just to experience one of the funniest beginnings to a game ever. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is also a massively underrated triple-A game, with voice work from Patrick Stewart and a fantastic combat system. It’s a steal at $10.19 USD.

Let’s open it up to you now – anyone think I’m a criminal for leaving out Borderlands 2? What would you tell your fellow Kotakuers to buy?
