There’s Already Amazing Star Wars: Episode VII Fan Art

Well, that didn’t take long. The 88-second teaser for the next Star Wars movie only went live on Friday (and didn’t really show much!), but already we’ve got a number of very nice pieces of fan art not only celebrating what we saw, but guessing at what might come next.

While it might have been the butt (hilt?) of a few jokes, the “claymore” lightsaber is unsurprisingly the focus of a lot of it, with artists trying to peel back the darkness of the trailer and pencil in some of the Jedi/Sith’s features.

Which I like! It might look stupid now, but real swords have crossguards for a reason!

Below you’ll find not just art, but a couple of poster ideas as well.

To see the larger pics in all their glory (or, if they’re big enough, so you can save them as wallpaper), click on the “expand” button in the top-left corner.

Fine Art is a celebration of the work of video game artists, showcasing the best of both their professional and personal portfolios. If you’re in the business and have some concept, environment, promotional or character art you’d like to share, drop us a line!
