If the idea of wandering around ancient Egypt without having to bother with the Assassin’s Creed story, combat, or other bits and bots that get in the way sounds good, then Origins has something for you.
Ubisoft announced, via the Origins marketing manager on Twitter, that the game would get a new mode early next year called “Discovery Tour”. The mode effectively removes all combat, time constraints and story elements from the gaming, allowing players to roam Origins‘ version of ancient Egypt at their leisure:

Assassin’s Creed has always done a great job of detailing the history and lore behind each game, so I can imagine plenty of people will enjoy the ability to chill in ancient Egypt without having to stab anyone. It’s a shame the mode won’t be available at launch or before Christmas, but on the flipside any issues from launch should be patched by the time Discovery Tour is available.
