Uhh, Did The Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Devs Just Confirm The Switch Pro’s Existence?

Nintendo is still yet to announce its highly anticipated Switch Pro console, but it looks like we’ve just had confirmation of the first game that will be coming to the platform: Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred HeroesYes, we’re talking about the most successful Kickstarter game of 2020.

Eiyuden Chronicle was revealed during the E3 2021 Xbox and Bethesda Showcase, but it wasn’t until recently that we received word on it coming to the next-gen console.

According to a Kickstarter Q&A with developer Rabbit & Bear (and spotted by Techradar), Hundred Heroes will be coming to the next-gen Switch console on day one.

“As originally pledged to the backers the game will be released on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Steam, Epic Games Store, and Nintendo’s Next Generation Hardware,” Rabbit & Bear Studios’ response on Kickstarter reads.

However, it’s worth noting that the developers didn’t explicitly specify this being the Switch Pro. As far as we know, this could just be an updated version of the console we’ve already got.

But considering everything we know so far about the rumoured Nintendo Switch Pro, we can safely assume this is what they’re talking about.

According to the Kickstarter campaign, Hundred Heroes is “an epic experience from the creators of classic JRPGs, with an intricate story and a gigantic cast of characters!”

The project has already been backed by 46,307 people on Kickstarter so far, including almost 1,000 backers from Australia, which is hardly surprising when you look at all of the exciting content they’ve teased.

Unfortunately, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes has a scheduled release date of October 2022, which doesn’t give us much to work with when it comes to the Nintendo Switch Pro — which is expected to be released well before then. In the mean time, you can find me perusing through all of the content they’ve dropped on Kickstarter so far and squealing with excitement about it.
