I have a rare opportunity. My wife has taken the baby down to Melbourne. This is my one glorious chance to sit and play games uninterrupted for, I’m guessing, two or three hours. This could be amazing! I could finish Tomb Raider? Maybe give Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance another go? How about that new game Sim City? Yeah, maybe not. What are you guys and girls planning to play this weekend?

Weekends used to be designed for video games, now I change nappies. That is my reality. But hopefully I’ll be able to squeeze in some gaming because I’ve just gotten my hands on an early copy of Tomb Raider and I’ve heard nothing but good things. Hopefully I’ll get a second to play it. What are you guys and girls currently playing?

I hate to do this to you all but it’s time to get smug. I don’t do this often but, yes, I have a copy of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and, yes, I’ve had it for a while. Yes, I will most likely be playing the game this weekend. What will you all be playing?

Well, this is embarrassing. Actually, no. It’s not embarrassing, I’m proud of it! Instead of playing through Dead Space 3, or any of the other big releases in the past month, I’ve been playing two games almost exclusively: Proteus on my laptop and Puzzle Retreat on my iPhone.

Dead Space 3. I will probably play this video game. I say ‘probably’ because my weekends are now spent changing nappies and walking around my apartment saying ‘SHHHHHHHHHHHHHH’ to my month old son. Games are hard right now. What are you guys and girls planning to play this weekend?

As you might have read earlier, I totally took a month off from gaming, so I think it might be about time for me to start playing them again! Any suggestions? What are you guys and girls playing at the moment?

The games releases are on a slow uptake that will kick into overdrive in a few weeks, and from that point on, it’s not going to let up for the entire year. In one of your last “quiet” weeks, what will you be spending your time playing?
