Every month we publish your reader reviews. And starting today, every month we’ll be giving out a prize for the best one. Let’s find out who won.
But first, what’s that prize? Thanks to the very kind chaps at Madman Entertainment, purveyor of all kinds of cool, indie and esoteric film, the best reader review we publish each month will win a prize pack containing ten of the latest Madman DVD releases.
All you have to do is send your review to us at the usual address. Make sure it’s written in the standard format and in under 300 words. We’ll publish the best ones we get and the best of the month will win a Madman DVD prize pack. (Note: for this first prize, all the reviews published to date are eligible, not just the August ones.)
So, our August winner is…
Mitch Alexander!

Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 4:00 PMYou decide which is the best review?
Not factual journalism more like opinion…Right?
David Wildgoose
Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 4:20 PMOf course, a review is just opinion. Same with judging competitions, I picked the one I liked the most.

And? How else would they be decided. A random number generator wouldn’t be very good for picking the winner because, in all probablitity, it will be a mediocre review.
Also, I think David’s journalism experience, being as vast as it is, would factor quite a lot into it.
